Pakistan in control of first test against New Zealand

Tanvir Ahmed 4 for 63 and Abdur Rehman 3 for 51 helped Pakistan to gain control in the first test against New Zealand. New Zealand scored 275 runs in their first innings. Earlier on day 1 Pakistan was on the top as they took kiwis 7 wickets for 177 runs but after that K Williamson and TG Southee had a paternership of 84 runs.

Pakistan lost their opener M Hafeez in the first over itself. But small and valuable contribution from other batsman allowed Pakistan to reach 221 for 4 with Misbah-ul-Haq and Asad Shafiq on the crease. Pakistan is still 49 runs behind the kiwis first innings score.
