ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Finally Shakib named Bangladesh captain.
After Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's latest knee injury there was no other choice for the game's governing body but to declare Shakib as the Tigers' skipper. However, the appointment of Tamim as vice-captain came as a surprise to many with wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim long mooted as the most likely candidate.
It was still not an easy decision for the BCB president AHM Mustafa Kamal to select Shakib as captain, as the number one all-rounder was reportedly not ready to take charge only for the World Cup, instead insisting on long-term duty when he met with the BCB president in the morning.
The BCB boss finally agreed on a one-year tenure after a meeting with the high-ups including the selectors at his Mirpur office and the decision this time made Shakib happy. The world's best all-rounder had previously expressed his disappointment on his short-term, stop-gap role.
“Yes, this time I am happy. I always believe in a long-term policy. Now I can plan something for the team,” said Shakib soon after the BCB made the official announcement on the eve of the New Year.
“Now my first job will be to work towards a good team for the World Cup. I firmly believe that the captain has to have a strong opinion on team selection. Definitely I will be part of the team selection this time,” he added.
The world's number one all-rounder also said that he was looking forward to the 2011 World Cup where Bangladesh is one of the co-hosts along with India and Sri Lanka.
“Definitely my first target is to play good cricket in the World Cup and do something as a co-host. I have to take all the responsibility for good or bad result in this big event. I am however excited to lead the team in the World Cup,” said Shakib.
The Bangladesh captain also believes that there will be a good partnership with Tamim.
“We have a very good relationship and hope we can work together to inspire the team for good results in the coming days,” Shakib hoped.
Tamim was however quite surprised by the decision but he was delighted to do his duty.
“I'm surprised because I never thought about it. I will try my best to do my duty as the vice-captain,” said the left-hander, who just went through a very successful year with the bat.
BCB's media committee chairman Jalal Yunus explained the reason behind the board's decision of declaring the captain and vice-captain for one year.
“We took the decision because we thought that it will help our cricket and team performance. Shakib successfully led the team in the last couple of series and we have faith on him that's why we went for a long-term policy,” explained Yunus.
“What we believe is that this decision will also help Shakib to become a good leader because he will get enough time to think about his captaincy. On the other hand we picked up Tamim as vice-captain because he is a performer and has a good future and we want to give him an opportunity so that he can prepare himself as a leader,” he added.

Who will be champion team of icc world cup cricket 2011?
Who Will Win the Cricket World Cup 2011?
It is now a burning questions.Guys, it is the time to pick favorites for the Cricket World Cup 2011. The countdown for the mega event has begun, and everyone, including the legends of cricket have started picking their favorites to win the World cup. According to the legends of the game India is favorite to win the World cup.
In my opinion India is not favorite to win this World cup, even though they are top contenders for the coveted trophy. One of the main reasons for India's unlikely success is the fact they are playing in front of the home crowd. Such big events like World cup brings a lot of pressure on the players. The title of being favorites adds to already existing pressure of home crowd expectations. Indifferent form of their best one day batsman Yuvraj Singh could also harm India's chances. Moreover their senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar will be desperate for winning this World cup in order to have at least one big trophy under his belt before he retires from cricket. You can see Sachin Tendulkar faltering or failing when approaching an important milestone. He has never featured in a World cup winning team despite featuring in five editions of the tournament. This is likely to be the last World cup for Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar is known to fail whenever there is pressure on him. Any shrewd captain should be able to exploit this weakness of Sachin Tendulkar. Another issue would be the spot to play Gautam Gambhir. Gautam Gambhir is better as an opener. He might not be effective in one day games in the middle order, and it could disrupt the whole batting order. There is no clear picture yet as to what combination India is likely to go. There is too much confusion with too many confusing choices. But if some of the players in the Indian batting line up hit purple patch, nothing could stop India from winning this edition of the World cup.
Australian team is not being picked as favorites this time. They are still the at the top of the ICC ranking table. Moreover reduced expectations on the Australian team might work in their favor. What could go against the Australian team is form and future of some of their key players, including their captain and star batsman Ricky Ponting. The Ashes results could also have a bearing on their performance in the upcoming World cup. The Australian team is still a force to reckon with and can peak at the right time to win the World cup.
South Africa is my favorite to win the World cup this time. They neither have the pressure of being favorites, nor they are playing in front of their home crowd. The tag of being chokers might actually work in their favor this time. Because they have been labeled chokers, it may release the any expectations on them, and may ultimately release any pressure on them. They have one of the best batting line up and best the best fast bowler in the world in their line up. South Africa should be able to open their account for World cup trophies.
The most unpredictable team ever, and the most unpredictable team in the tournament. Pakistan is not being given much of a chance by the pundits, but you should discount Pakistan at your own peril. Again, less expectation from this team may eventually work in their favor. Moreover, not having to play before home crowd, yet playing home like condition may also favor them. They may not have the best team in the world on the paper, but have the team to beat any team, and have players who can change the course of the game from any situation.
England has also emerged as a very strong team in the recent past. They could repeat their success in T20 edition of the World cup in the one day version, of course with little bit of luck at crucial stages of the tournament. England also has considerably less pressure on them.
Sri Lanka is a good team, but will be under pressure playing in front of their home crowds. I do not see Sri Lanka going all the way especially without Jaysurya in their ranks at the top of the order, and indifferent form of Tilakratne Dilshan. The Sangarkara's and Jayawardana's are not much effective in one-day format, especially in the absence of big hitters like Jaysurya at the top. They do not have a threating bowling line up either. I do not give much chance to Sri Lanka.
New Zeeland is one team, about whom the less said the better. They have some capable cricketers, but are failing as a unit. A couple of good games at the knockout might just give them an outside chance of winning the trophy.
West Indian team of today is exactly opposite of the West Indian team that participated in the first three editions of this prestigious tournament. I do not see West Indies winning this tournament, but cricket is funny old game.
Bangladesh has the ability to upset quite a few teams in this tournament like it did to India in the previous editions. Ireland too can upset the big teams as it knocked out Pakistan in the initial stages of the tournament in the last edition of the World cup. The rest of the teams, I guess, are mere participants.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2011: Probable semi-finalists
An interesting fact to notice is that in all their previous three wins, Australia has faced the three Asian giants in the final. 1999 was the year when Wasim Akram’s Pakistan failed miserably after scoring just 132 runs in the final. The 2003 final saw Indian bowlers being smashed to all parts of the ground in South Africa. In 2007, Sri Lanka were hoping to replicate their 1996 World Cup win but failed.
Another stat regarding Asian teams in the tournament is that in the previous 5 ICC World Cups, there has been an Asian team in the Final. In 1992, Pakistan won their only ODI World Cup under the influential captaincy of Imran Khan. In the following 1996 competition, Sri Lanka beat Australia in the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Pakistan.
Considering the fact that the 2011 World Cup is being played in Asia, the three mighty Asian teams have a good chance of winning the tournament. The list of for probable semi-finalists, however, is easily topped by India.
1. India: One of the greatest batsmen of all time, Sir Viv Richards, has labelled India as the favourites for the 2011 tournament. Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India has developed a formidable team which will be difficult to beat on home soil. A batting line up which includes the little master Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Yousaf Pathan, Dhoni and the inform Virat Kohli, can demolish any bowling attack. Perhaps the only worry the Indian camp has is the lack of pace in their bowling attack which is held together by only Zaheer Khan.
2. Australia: Australia might not be as strong a team as they were a couple of years back, nonetheless, it is still hard to rule out a team which has made it to the final in the previous four attempts. The Kangaroos have managed to reach the final of the World Cup 6 times in the 9 tournaments held so far. As a Captain, Ricky Ponting has a remarkable 100% record in the competition. Australia have won all 22 matches played under his leadership. Their experience in the tournament is bound to come in handy even with this less high profile team.
3. Sri Lanka: This will be spin-wizard Muttiah Muralitharan’s final World Cup outing and he will surely be looking to end his illustrious ODI career on a high. On World Cup pitches, which are expected to support spin bowling, Murali’s magic can single-handedly win games for Sri Lanka. He will be supported by the Lasith Malinga in the bowling department, who will be looking to exploit batsmen with his reverse swing. The batting will be anchored by Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene and players like Tillakaratne Dilshan will look to impose themselves on the opposition.
4. Pakistan: Most people will be surprised to see this name in the list as Pakistan has failed to secure an ODI series win since 2008. However, given the fact that the World Cup will be played in conditions similar to Pakistan, this unpredictable team has the ability to cause an upset. With players like captain Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq and Shoaib Akhtar, who can win matches single-handedly, Pakistan can go on to win their second World Cup title.

Afridi says Eden Park okay for T20s, but not fit for ODI
The pitch at the Auckland ground has been rotated 45 degrees clockwise, so that it runs parallel to where the halfway line of the rugby field would be. The result is longish boundaries square of the wicket, but short ones down the ground, a New Zealand website reports.
“I must say it’s small, but the people who are coming for Twenty20 cricket, they want to see some big shots, so for Twenty20 I think it’s a perfect ground.”
Afridi didn’t think the new layout made the arena of adequate standard for one-dayers.New Zealand skipper Ross Taylor had a different view.
Taylor believed bowlers would still get reward in ODIs if they bowled well and to a plan.
“Those boundaries square are some of the bigger ones in the world.”
He also said the previous alignment made Eden Park a ground that favoured left-handed batsmen, whereas now things had probably been evened up.

Hand injury renders Indian opener Gautam Gambhir doubtful for Durban
While captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that Zaheer Khan, who missed the first Test in Centurion due to hamstring injury is fit to play, he did admit that Gambhir's injury in the knuckles of his left hand is a concern ahead of the second Test.
"As of now, Zak (Zaheer Khan's nickname) is fit. He has opted out of today's session but he is fit. Gautam has a bit of a niggle in his left hand. He got hit during the last Test. We can only take a call once we receive the formal report from the physio. He batted today also, but he has a bit of swelling," Dhoni told the reporters on the eve of the second Test.
The southpaw looked in utter discomfort during the first innings when South African pacers sorted him out with short-pitched stuff. However Gambhir showed a lot of grit scoring 80 in the second innings.
In case, Gambhir doesn't get fit in time, reserve opener Murali Vijay will be inducted into the playing XI. However it will be a test of character for Vijay who is not known to be too comfortable while playing short pitched stuff.
Edwards and Taylor not among World Cup probables
The list also included former captain Ramnaresh Sarwan and wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin, both of whom were excluded from the recent tour of Sri Lanka. Fast bowlers Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor, who have just begun their comeback from long-term injuries, were not included. Brendan Nash is the only player on a WICB central retainer contract left out of the mix.
The squad will be trimmed by half for the tournament, which starts on February 19 in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India.
Squad: Lionel Baker, Adrian Barath, Carlton Baugh Jr, Sulieman Benn, Dave Bernard Jr, Tino Best, Devendra Bishoo, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Jonathan Carter, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Kirk Edwards, Chris Gayle, Ryan Hinds, Jason Holder, Anthony Martin, Nikita Miller, Nelon Pascal, Kieron Pollard, Kieran Powell, Denesh Ramdin, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shane Shillingford, Devon Smith, Gavin Tonge, Devon Thomas.
Adam Milne named in NZ World Cup probables
Dean Brownlie and Luke Woodcock, who along with Milne got their first international call-ups for the Twenty20s against Pakistan, also find a place in the side. Canterbury's Rob Nicol and Central Districts' Doug Bracewell - nephew of former New Zealand player and coach John Bracewell - are the other new faces in the list, along with wicketkeeper Reece Young, who has replaced Gareth Hopkins for the Tests against Pakistan. Hopkins, who struggled through the India tour in both the Tests and one-dayers, failed to make the cut for the World Cup as well.
"A number of uncapped guys who have excelled domestically made the squad," chief selector Mark Greatbatch said. "We believe it represents the best one-day cricketers we have in New Zealand. There is genuine competition for places as we look to select final 15 for the World Cup and that's exciting."
The squad will be reduced to 15 players by January 19.
Squad: Brent Arnel, Hamish Bennett, Doug Bracewell, Dean Brownlie, Ian Butler Grant Elliott, Daniel Flynn, Martin Guptill, Jamie How, James Franklin, Kyle Mills, Adam Milne, Brendon McCullum, Nathan McCullum, Peter McGlashan, Andy McKay, Rob Nicol, Jacob Oram, Jeetan Patel, Jesse Ryder, Tim Southee, Shanan Stewart, Scott Styris, Ross Taylor, Daryl Tuffey, Daniel Vettori, BJ Watling, Kane Williamson, Luke Woodcock, Reece Young
Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal given World Cup deadline
"The PCB has asked them to submit the documents about their assets and bank accounts by December 30 to be considered in the list of probables for the World Cup," Subhan Ahmad, the board's COO, told APP.
The ICC had extended Pakistan's deadline for the submission of its preliminary 30-member squad for the tournament to January 5, after receiving a request from the board. Kamran and Malik have not played for Pakistan since their controversial tour of England in August and were left out of the tour to the United Arab Emirates. They have also been denied permission to play league cricket in Bangladesh. The PCB has remained fairly tight-lipped about the reasons for their exclusion.
Kamran and Malik had both questioned the board's decision to not clear them for the New Zealand tour. Kamran had written to the ICC asking if he was under investigation and got a clean chit from them. The ICC had sent him and Salman Butt notices during Pakistan's tour of England in August, seeking information about events related to the 2010 World Twenty20 held in May.
Legspinner Danish Kaneria, who has not figured in Pakistan's one-day plans in recent times, was also earlier given until the end of the year to submit his replies to the board's integrity committee's queries, in order to gain clearance to play for the country.

Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Ashraful, Imrul Kayes, Junaed Siddique, Roqibul Hassan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Nazmul Hossain, Naeem Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Sohrawardi Shuvo, Shahriar Nafees, Nazimuddin, Shamsur Rahman, Jahurul Islam, Sahagir Hossain, Syed Rasel, Shahadat Hossain, Mahbubul Alam, Dollar Mahmud, Mohammad Mithun, Nasir Hossain, Shuvagoto Hom Chowdhury, Shabbir, Rahman, Alok Kapali and Enamul Haque are the part of the preliminary squad from the Bangladesh side. These players will participate in the training camp and after that 15-player final squad will be announced.
The overall performance of Bangladeshi side was not so bad in 2010 especially in last couple of series Bangladeshi players gave the tremendous performance. Recently Bangladesh has won two home series against New Zealand and Zimbabwe. The victory of Bangladesh in these two series picks the morale of Bangal tigers at a peak position. Bangladesh will host eight World Cup matches in Dhaka and Chittagong, and will also enjoy the hosting of the opening ceremony of the ICC World Cup 2011 on Feb 17 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city.
In ICC World Cup 2011 teams groups Bangladesh is placed in group “B” where its group neighbors are India, South Africa, England and the West Indies. Netherlands, Ireland. Bangladeshi players will play all of their first round matches on their own land. So there is a good chance for the Bangladeshi team to take the full advantage of their home ground and home crowd and their familiar conditions. Dutch team and the Irish side may be not become so tough enemies of the Asian side but the difficult task is to defeat India, South Africa, England and West Indies. Bangladesh will start the journey towards World Cup by playing match against India on February 19 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
There is no doubt in this that Bangladesh have to face the challenge of four stronger teams but the Bangladeshi couch and players are hopeful that they will try to give their best performance in the mega event and the audience should be ready for the upsets.3DM2HQ3BP5C7

BCCI Releases Indian Cricket Team for World Cup 2011
Chairman of the Selection Committee K Srikanth stated that the players have been choosen purely on basis of their merit and the final team will be selected in a month’s time.
The list includes Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virendra Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Yusuf Pathan, Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth and others.
Irish Cricket World Cup squad announced.
It's as expected a very experienced squad, with seven players currently attached to English counties. One of those is of course Ed Joyce, who was granted special dispensation by the ICC to participate in the tournament. Eight of the line-up played for Ireland in the last 50 over World Cup in the West Indies in 2007.
Coach Phil Simmons said of his squad: 'There are no surprises in the 22, as we've had a fairly settled squad this past year. Our training camp in India last month went well and it was fantastic preparation for the conditions which we'll be facing when the tournament starts.
'There's a lot of experience in the squad, but that's balanced by the fact we've got a few exciting youngsters as well. Both Paul Stirling and George Dockrell have turned in some great performances in 2010, and the World Cup will be a great stage for them.
On the progress of Regan West (shoulder) and Boyd Rankin (foot) who are both recovering from injury, Simmons said: 'Boyd is bowling again and on track to be fully fit for the tournament. Regan is working hard after his shoulder operations, and will undergo a final fitness assessment before the final squad is announced - we're still hopeful that he'll make it.'
Ireland will travel to Dubai in January for a pre World Cup training camp, and have scheduled warm-up games against New Zealand and Zimbabwe in Nagpur before their first game in the competition proper against Bangladesh in Dhaka on 25 February.
Ireland has been drawn in a group alongside Bangladesh, India, England, the Netherlands, South Africa and West Indies.

Sachin Tendulkar became the first man to score 50 Test centuries
President Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the glowing tributes even as India faced almost certain defeat in the first cricket Test against South Africa at Centurion.
Tendulkar was unbeaten on 107 as India ended day four still 30 runs behind with two second innings wickets in hand and hoping the predicted rain on Tuesday would save them the match.
But Indians back home appeared little concerned by the team’s precarious position in the Test, confirming the widely held belief that defeat did not matter as long as Tendulkar scored a century.
The 37-year-old is the most prolific batsman in history with a record 46 one-day hundreds to go with his 50 Test centuries since he entered the international arena back in 1989.
“It is an amazing achievement to play for the country for over two decades and still continue to be the team’s anchor,” Prime Minister Singh said.
“Sachin makes all of us so very proud.”
The 50-ton feat was flashed on the front pages of leading newspapers and television channels rounded up past and present cricketers to speak on the batsman they compared to the legendary Don Bradman of Australia.
“Don of a new era” screamed the front page of the Times of India, which devoted three pages to the master’s achievements under catchy headlines like “Batman Forever” and “Sachincredible”.
“Legend, 50 times over”, the Hindustan Times wrote on its front page, while the Indian Express headlined its story “Sachin cricket enters 51st century”.
Tendulkar’s consistency over a 21-year period earned high praise with former captain Sourav Ganguly calling him the “best batsman ever” ahead of the late Bradman, who retired in 1948 with a Test batting average of 99.94.
“It’s an unbelievable achievement by an unbelievable cricketer,” Ganguly said, adding that the man now dubbed ‘Ton’dulkar by the media could still be playing beyond 40.
“Believe me, age is not a factor in this game till you are 40. He is not finished yet by any means. Cricket remains his passion.”
India’s South African coach Gary Kirsten, who played against Tendulkar in the 1990s, admired the batsman’s commitment to the sport.
“The key to his success is his approach to the game, his humility to learn and try to do better all the time,” Kirsten was quoted as saying by Indian media at Centurion.
“For him, a Test match begins two days earlier, preparing for it. He wants to face the maximum number of balls at the nets. You will not see him play a loose shot at the nets.
“He is focused all the time, he wants to do better all the time,” said Kirsten.
Tendulkar has scored seven Test centuries this year, during which he also notched up the first double-century in the history of one-day cricket.
“It’s been a phenomenal year for him,” said Kirsten. “I think he is playing better than ever.”
South Africa Defeats India by Innings and 25 Runs in First Cricket Test
Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn took the remaining two Indian wickets on the final morning to dismiss the touring team for 459 in its second innings. The South Africans had amassed 620-4 declared after skittling India for 136 in its first innings.
Sachin Tendulkar finished on 111 not out after yesterday becoming the first player in 133 years of elite Test cricket to register 50 centuries.
The second Test starts Dec. 26 in Durban before the best- of-three contest concludes in Cape Town from Jan. 2. South Africa has won all four previous home series against India.
Kirsten ssays Tendulkar the professor of batting
Tendulkar achieved the milestone on Sunday as he battled to save the first Test against South Africa in Centurion.
It was a remarkable achievement for Tendulkar in his 175th Test, but it came as little surprise to Kirsten.
Kirsten said: "Every innings he's very determined to go out and do something. This is an incredible individual milestone but he's really focused on making big contributions for the team.
"He wants to make his runs in important situations. He wants to make sure the team's doing well whilst he's getting those individual milestones.
"He's enjoying his cricket more than he ever has. For the team having done well over the last couple of years has given him a new motivation to make his runs and make his contributions for the good of the team.
"He's just got better and better. This year he's been unbelievable.
"For me he's a professor in batting. He's very streetwise in terms of the way he goes about his business.
"He understands every situation that he's confronted with in a match and he plays accordingly."
Tendulkar (107 not out) and Mahendra Singh Dhoni (90) shared a 172-run seventh-wicket stand, but India closed day four when a storm blew in on 454 for eight, still 30 runs short of making South Africa bat again.
Kirsten cited Tendulkar as an example for all aspiring players to follow, saying: "He still works extremely hard on his game. I think I throw more balls in the nets to him than anyone else.
"It's little wonder that he's been so successful over so many years because he treats every cricketing day with humility and respect and works as hard as he can on his game.
"He just loves the game. He wants to be out there, he wants to hit balls, he wants to practise - but I think it's the way he practises which is the key.
"It's a great lesson for young cricketers.
"He doesn't take one ball for granted in a practice session. He tries to hit it perfectly every time and you'll never see him having a loose net, or playing a loose shot. He gets very irritated when he gets out."
Tendulkar has scored seven Test centuries in 2010, the most he has ever managed in a calendar year.
Kirsten said: "He studies the whole book for the exam then goes out and gives himself the best chance for success."
Bangladesh to host 2012 Asia Cup
Salman Butt says money in his room was legitimate
"I have not done anything such as this in all my life or cricketing career," he said in an interview with Sky television, broadcast in the UK on Monday night.
Butt was made captain of Pakistan's Test side after Shahid Afridi's retirement midway through the England tour. During the fourth Test against England at Lord's, Butt, along with seamers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, was implicated in a News of the World sting video that alleged that the trio was involved in bowling deliberate, planned no-balls. The ICC has since suspended the three players from the international game and will decide their fate at an independent tribunal from January 6-11 in Doha.
Butt has now claimed that since he was newly in charge of the side, he could not have exerted the kind of influence required to convince bowlers to deliberately overstep. "I became captain as a result of an accident where the previous captain suddenly decided he couldn't play Test cricket anymore, so to have this kind of influence by three or four games, I think any kind of captain would like that," Butt said. "These kinds of people [Asif and Amir] do not let others decide their roles. The team knows, the opponents know who is going to open the bowling. They just have to decide their ends which they always do, so there is nothing more I would like to say."
Butt did not elaborate on the video evidence since he was bound by the ICC's code of conduct to remain silent on the issue. When asked about the currency notes found in his hotel room in London during a raid following the release of the video, Butt said the money was legitimate and accounted for.
"People can have their opinions but I actually know where the money came from," Butt said. "Everybody knows the Pakistan Cricket Board pays us daily allowances on tours and it was a long tour, so about 11,000 of this money was from my daily allowances. Being captain, I had extra entertainment allowance which amounts to around 4500 from the tour.
"The rest of the money was advance payment for my bat stickers for which I was under contract with Capital Cricket, which shows on the back of my bat. I was given 2500 for the opening of an ice-cream parlour in Tooting [in south London]. I believe the name [of the parlour] is Afters and the manager, or the people working over there, will tell you that I had to do the opening of the ice-cream parlour along with Mohammad Amir. That's what we were paid for."
Meanwhile, Aftab Gul, the lawyer who will be representing Butt at January's hearings, has claimed he has evidence of corruption in the game and the names of the people involved "will make your hair stand on end". Gul said spot-fixing was the biggest form of cricket corruption since it was easy to pull off.
